She was born in Miami County to Truman and Stella SHOEMAKER HARTZLER. On June 9, 1922 in Peru she married Ralph S. MILLER, who died Oct. 14, 1979.
She was a homemaker and a member of Akron Church of God and its Service Guild.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) HARTISH of Fairmount, Mrs. Elwin (Maxine) CREVISTON of Jacksonville, Fla., Wanda OLINGER of Fulton, Mrs. Charles (Marcia) KROFT of Syracuse, Mrs. Richard (Janice) SMOKER of Lawrenceburg and Mrs. Donald (Kay) HARNEY of Milford; a son, Devon MILLER of Rochester; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Flossie LANCE of North Manchester ands Mrs. Byron (Mildred) THOMPSON of Akron.
Preceding in death were a daughter, Wilda Jean MILLER; a son, Ralph J. MILLER; three sisters, Nellie MAYNARD, Mabelle RAMSEY and Mary POLK; five brothers, Orville "Pete" HARTZLER, Floyd HARTZLER, Russell "Bob" HARTZLER, Lester "Joe" HARTZLER and Forest HARTZLER.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Akron Church of God with Revs. James MALBONE and Terry CANFIELD officiating. Visiting hours are 4-9 p.m. today at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron and one hour prior to the service at the church Tuesday. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery.
