Henry B. Grover, 84, former resident of Leland and Sandwich, died on Friday, April 11, 1958 at the Hearthside Nursing Home in Chicago. He was born October 18, 1873 in Leland, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Grover and was married to Nelsie Erickson on January 24, 1901 in Sandwich. He had farmed in the Sandwich and Leland areas until he retired. He was a member of the IOOF No. 212 of Sandwich. He death is mourned by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Leeds of Chicago; a son, Ira Grover of Big Rock, a brother, Amos Grover, of California, and two grandchildren. His wife and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. E.L. Johnson of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church officiating. During the services Leah Hage sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Nearer My God, to Thee" accompanied by Mrs. Nelson Duvick. Bearers wer Charles King, Russell Stahl, Fed Delano, Mort Morris, Wallace Grover, and Kenneth Baker. Burial was in Leland Cemetery.
