Newton Grover, one of our best known and respected citizens died at his home in Leland last Sunday after a long illness. The deceased had been a resident of Adams township for 75 years, and leaves may life long friends who will be grived to learn of his death. The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the M. E. church, Rev. J. T. Anderson, of Chicago, had charge of the service, assisted by Rev. David Ross, of the Leland M. E. church, Rev. Anderson was paster of the Leland Norwegian M. E. church about 30 years ago. Mrs. L. J. Stahl sang two very beautiful numbers at the services. The interment was made in the Little Indian Creek cemetery south of Leland.
