Helena was the first born of nine to George Ibach and Julia A. Schwab Ibach. She was born on November 28th, 1869 at Preston, Minnesota. About the late 1880's or early 1890's, she moved to Waubay, South Dakota for a job as a school teacher. It was while working here that she married Romen J Grebin on October 4th, 1892. She may have already known Romen, before moving to Waubay, as they are both from the Preston area of Minnesota, I am not sure, just speculation.
By June 1st, 1895, they were living in Preston, Minnesota and raising a family. Together they had nine children all but one of whom reached an age of at least 87 years, the longest lived one, Julia, reached an age of 97!
On April 11th, 1950, Helena died at the age of 80.
