Born on the 4th of July, 1900, Lewis was the fifth of nine children born to Romen J. Grebin and Helena Ibach Grebin. On July 13, 1928, he married Gladys Abigal Hederschott. Together, they raised four children; Patricia, Robert W., Elizabeth and Lewis J.They lived in the Preston area until they moved to Austin in the early forties. Lewis died at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota on April 26th 1987 and is buried in the Carimona Cemetery next to his wife, Gladys.
