Luvinia Agnes Eyler was born June 15, 1856, in Woodsboro, Frederick County, Maryland, the daughter of Peter and Nancy Locke Eyler. On April 16, 1880, in Libertytown, Frederick County, she married Albert Curtis Valentine, son of Josiah and Emily Shriner Valentine. They were the parents of 8 children: Clara Maude, Murray Curtis, Sadie E., Walter Josiah, Ethel Rebecca, William Vernon, Mattie M. and Lena Irene Valentine. Luvinia passed away on March 3, 1923, in York, York County, Pennsylvania, and was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery there.

From the Marriage Records of Frederick County, Maryland:

"Albert C. Valentine, 27, of Frederick County, bachelor, farmer, to Lavinia A. Eyler, 24, of Frederick County, maid. Married April 15, 1880, in Georgetown, Frederick County, by William Beall."

From the Marriage Records at Union Chapel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Libertytown, Frederick County, Maryland:

"Albert C. Valentine, of Georgetown, son of Josiah and Emily Valentine, and Agnes Levinia Iler, of Frederick County, daughter of Peter and Nancy Iler. Married April 16, 1880, by Rev. Dr. Beal."

Here's her obituary in the York "Gazette and Daily" newspaper on March 5, 1923:

Mrs. Luvina A Valentine, wife of Albert C. Valentine, 1012 (North) Duke street, North York, died at 5 o'clock Saturday morning at her name. She was 66 years old.

She leaves her husband and the following children: Ethel , at home; Mrs. John R (Sadie) Plaine, Norristown; Mrs. Francis (Mattie) Lehr, North York; Mrs. Clarence (Lena) Schroeder and Murray E. Valentine, both of this city; William V. Valentine and Walter J. Valentine, both of North York; a brother, Simon P Eyler, Walkersville, Md., and 19 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held tomorrow with services at the home at 1 p.m. Interment will be made in Prospect Hill cemetery.
