Funeral services for Mrs. Wm. Lockman,who passed away at her home Sunday afternoon September 29,were held Tuesday afternoon October 1, at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour. The Rev.O.R.Littleford, officated.Burial was made in Maple Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were, John Hedges,Sr.,Albert Hanson, Edward Prieve, William Hohenhaus, Fred Rothenburg and A.J. Plaisance. Serena Nelson was born in 1873 in Denmark, the daughter of Soren and Mathilda Nelson. At the age of eight years,she came with her parents to this country,where they made their home in Farmington. In February 1891, she was united in marriage to William Carl Lockman.They came to Faribault in 1896 and resided here ever since. She is survived by her husband, one sister,Mrs.Christine Swendseid of Hines,and four brothers,Peter Nelson of south St.Paul, Fred Nelson Of Minneapolis, Walter and Nels J. Nelson of Faribault,three daughters,Mrs.Charles Thom (Lillian), Mrs. Frank Kuether (Catherine)and Dorothy,all of Faribault, and ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.Attending the services from out of town were, Mrs.Christine Swendseid of Hines; Peter Nelson and daughter of South St.Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lockman,Mr. and Mrs. George Sisser, Mr and Mrs. A.F. Seykors, Mr Aldolph Bulbotz and Miss Francis Wilson, all of Owatonna; Mrs. Ray McNemee of Minneapolis;Joseph Thom of Milwaukee,Wisconsin and Mr.and Mrs. C.C.Adams,Jr;of Independence,Missouri.
