Andrew Robert Chittum, 79, of Buena Vista died in Stonewall Jackson Hospital Monday, Sept. 11, 1966. Mr. Chittum was born in Rockbridge County on April 22, 1887 the son of the late Andrew J. Chittum and Sarah Hostetter Chittum.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Coleman Chittum, two daughters, Mrs. James D. Huffman and Miss Sarah B. Chittum, both of Buena Vista; a stepdaughter Mrs Louise Fitzwater of Baltimore, Md., a stepson Harold L. Chittum of Buena Vista; two sisters, Mrs. Cora McManama and Mrs. Anna Hostetter, both of Buena Vista; and four brothers, Jim Chittum, George Chittum, Edward Chittum and Sylvester Chittum, all of Buena Vista.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 p.m. in McCutcher Presbyterian Church with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery. The Rev. James Jackson and the Rev. William Sorrells officiated.
