Private memorial services and burial for Mrs. Julia Hadley Griffin, a native of Edwardsville, will be held Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin, 88, was a widow of Ralph D. Griffin, vice president of the Mercantile Commerce National Bank in St. Louis. She died Thursday at Mari de Villa Retirement Center, 13900 Clayton Road, Manchester, where she had been a resident for several years. Her husband died in 1956.
Mrs. Griffin was a long time member of the Wednesday Club and a past president of the St. Louis Woman's Club. She was graduated from the then Monticello Seminary at Godfrey.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. John M. Drescher of St. Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Edward R. Halloran of Tucson, Ariz. and Mrs. Julian D. Cale of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Dustin H. Griffin and W.L. Hadley Griffin of St. Louis. Seven grandchildren also survive.
