Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), October 9, 1953:
   Funeral services were held in Valhalla chapel, St. Louis, Thursday for Edward West Hadley, a former resident of Edwardsville, who died Tuesday after an extended illness in Glenwood sanatorium, Webster Groves, Mo.
   Mr. Hadley was born in Edwardsville March 8, 1886, son of the late W.F.L. Hadley and Mary West Hadley.
   He is survived by two brothers, W.L. Hadley of Edwardsville, Douglas M. Hadley of Arlington, Va.; and three sisters, Winifred Hadley Paddock of Edwardsville, Mrs. Ralph D. Griffin and Mrs. John M. Drescher, both of St. Louis.
   Interment was in the Hadley lot, Woodlawn cemetery.
