Age 84 years, died Saturday morning, November 10, 2012 at the Bay Medical Care Facility. She was born on October 18, 1928 in Bay City to the late John and Christina (Volders) Richard. Bernice was a member of St. Norbert Church, Munger, and its Altar Society. On January 22, 1949 she married Aloysious "Tweet" C. Lynch who preceded her in death on September 7, 1989.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Christine Mahoney; three grandchildren: Julie (Gib) Garcia, Daniel (Michelle) Mahoney, and Patrick (Kimberlee) Mahoney; six great-grandchildren: Michaela and Lucas Garcia, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Meyah, and Brady Mahoney; sister, Helen Lynch; brother-in-law, Larry Lynch; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Frank, Alphonse, and Robert Richard; five sisters: Alvina Haske, Evelyn Lynch, Bertha Lynch, Isabel Hugo, and Agnes Johnson.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM in St. Norbert Church, Munger. Bernice will lie in state in church Monday after 9:00 AM. Rev. Joseph A. Schabel will preside and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, Bay Medical Care Facility, or Wishes of the Family. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with the Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM, at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. www.trahanfc.com
