Obituary
Mrs. Mary H. Blondo, a long time Grandview/Prosser, Wash. resident and formerly of the Hoven and Bowdle community, died at Vancouver, Wash. following an extended illness. She was 85 years of age and was born in Hoven spending her early years at Hoven and Bowdle where she received her education.

On Sept. 19, 1916, she married Philip Blondo were married at Bowdle. Together they farmed in South Dakota for many years and in 1937 they with their family settled in Prosser, Wash. where her husband was employed at the Valley Evaporators. In 1941, the Blondos' moved to Grandview, Wash. where they were both employed at Perham Fruit Company until they retired, continuing to make their home in Grandview, Wash. Her husband, Philip Blondo, died Jan. 12, 1966. She continued to make her home at 700 Fourth St. Grandview, Wash. until due to her failing health, she moved to Vancouver, Wash. to be near her daughter. She was a life time member of the Catholic Church, was an early member of the Alter Society of the church and since living in Grandview, she was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Mrs. Mary H. Blondo is survived by one son, Edward G. Blondo od Prosser, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Larsen of Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. Luella Ticknor of Sheridan, Ore. and Dolores Perry of Kennewick, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Tony Hoerner of Sioux Falls, Leo Hoerner of Ipswich; two sisters, Mrs. Jenny Dewald of Bowdle and Mrs. Ann Abler of Hoven and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary H. Blondo were held with a Rosary being recited for the repose of her soul at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, July the 6th at the Smith Funeral Home in Grandview and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July the 7th at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview with Father John McDonnell officiating. Burial was in the family plot of the Grandview Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home in Grandview. Casketbearers were Tom Pearson, Robert Larsen, Hank Robillard, John Tibbels, Bruce O'Neill, and Melvin Brizendine.
