Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a niece of Lloyd "Pete" Herbert Hughes, who was a Medal of Honor Recipient. Researching his life has been an honor and a privilege. Here are his crew members of the "Ole Kickapoo."

I adopted the Bodan Cemetery in Pollok, Angelina County, Texas, USA because of the many relatives of mine who are buried there. About 40% of those buried there are related to me.

You have my permission to use the grave marker photographs I have uploaded in any genealogy project. They are not one-of-a-kind photographs. You certainly do not, however, have my permission to use my photographs of family members in some money making scheme. Don't laugh, it has already been tried - and stopped.

The transcription of the grave marker on any memorial is important. Please add them. If you have a problem with adding transcriptions of the grave marker, please take it up with Find A Grave. They have a field for it, they, and I, ask that you fill it.

I registered on Find A Grave on 9 Jul 2001 when there were "only" 2.5 million memorials. For some reason, I didn't create my first memorial until 29 Jul 2001.

RE: Duplicates
Hi Raj .. One would naturally assume that the correct location is where the tombstone was photographed. That being in Brookland Cemetery, per photo for Lewis.

Transfer
I appreciate the transfer of Helen Doris Foster's memorial. In your bio you mentioned adding grave marker transcriptions. I am now going thru my memorials and adding this information. Thank you. Have a blessed day!

RE: Thank you
You're welcome. I knew where the marker was so I didn't have to look around. I knew Miss Agnes, she was a friend of my grandmother.

RE: Elbert County Rev. Memorial
Thanks for adding the Bonds. I have some other names that I will send to you later.

I have some pictures from the Memorial Park from a trip several years ago. I was glad to find a page that had all of the names listed--great idea!

I did share a link to your page on two genealogy facebook pages--one for Thomas Maxwell and for the Higginbotham Family.

Thank you again!

Anna Belle Deason
You are very welcome for the confirmation that Anna is buried at Zion Hill. I did not contact the other person about the duplicate. I had hoped that they would see the information and make the correction. I will try to keep an eye on it and hope that it can be corrected at some point. If not, I will try to remember to send them the correct information.

connie marks
source
Just curious. I note you created a lot of memorials for folks at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, many don't have photos (which I am working at solving). I was wondering what your source was for the memorials? Regards, Connie

Anna Belle Deason
I also just checked the Zion Hill transcription page on Gloria Mayfield's Cemeteries of Texas website and saw that Anna Belle was listed there. I do not know how to make a clickable link, but will copy and paste the web address for you.

Anna Belle Deason
I checked my records from where I photographed Zion Hill, and confirmed that Anna Belle Deason (1877-1879) does have a gravestone there.
