I first became interested in family history when my Mom did the research to become a member of Daughters of the American Colonists. There are four family tree projects that I am working on. The family names involved are Thompson, Blood and Akeley, Winger, and Humiston. I am also learning how to be what some may call a "Cemetery Walker," someone who does genealogical cemetery research, actually getting out there among the gravestones with a camera and a notepad. As I get into that my participation here will probably grow exponentially. On the World Connect Project my reference name is ALW48 which is a combination of my initials and birth year.
