My greatest passion in life is genealogy and family history. It all started in the 80s when my birth mother decided she wanted to know her roots. She now knows first hand and the mystery of her mother's genealogy is still a mystery to me.|
I do not have a camera so headstone photos are not an option but I am willing to help others where possible. In addition to my own direct lines, I support my extended family members in their quest for knowledge.
Family names I am actively researching: HALL, VAN SCOY, PEOPLES/PEEBLES, DeBERRY, BAKER, MARTIN, DONAHUE, BENNION, LEHNER, VALENTINI/VALENTINE, CIFERNI, BROWN, KNAM, STEWART, THORNTON, DAVIDSON, GAY, BARGER, BOLLING (and variations), MONK, FREDIANI, La CHANCE, and the list goes on and on.
PET PEEVE (borrowed from a friend): Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". Shame on you!

I photographed the grave marker for William at Pinecrest, Alexander, AR. I was able to do this because you listed the section, Garden of Apostles. This is a very large cemetery and without that information it would be impossible to find it. The Pinecrest office has started charging $25 to look up 1-10 burials for geneoalogical purposes and charge another $25 for numbers 10-20. Gone are the days of walking into the office and asking for lookups unless the deceased is a relative. I am saying this because I noticed you have requests for Pinecrest and Forrest Hills cemeteries in Alexander. If you are able to call the offices and find locations I will be happy to photograph them for you. If they won't look them up for you without charging it would be a great time to express your concern for their new policy.

Glad I could help, Sherry. Seeing the Van Scoy in your name, you should note that I have 4 Van Scoy memorials at Alta Mesa; if any are family let me know as I am always happy to transfer and place these memorials in the care of family members. I have grave/niche photos for these as well, and will get them posted in time.
All my best, Mark
I transferred all the Gesue memorials to you. I didn't have Merced Gesue. When I first took the picture of her memorial she was still living so I didn't add her. She passed away in 2016 but someone else added her information.

Sherry, you are welcome. If you want me to transfer Gesue , I'll be glad to.

|Robert Crutchfield||David W Spence Hall and Wife|
David W Spence Hall is the great-grandfather of my brothers wife. although not related to me I do research on her family also. I had his David's as Susan Williams Hall: 1849-1930
David and Susan were married 24 Dec 1868 in Gwinnett County GA:
Do you know when he and Rachel were married.
My brother's wife's grandmother was Missouri Jane Hall:
I have on the 1900 census in Big Creek, Sharp, Arkansas, her with David and Susan so now I am confused can you help me out?
On Missouri's death record it lists her mother as Susan Williams.

You are so welcome for the photograph little as it was. Their final resting place could be marked now with a SURE mind as to their true grave. Many are not so lucky, but speculation is better than nothing I know. Should you find within my memorials any one would would love to take care of please don't hesitate to ask. I love to photograph the ever changing gardens left to the elements, my memorials are greatly from digital records. (check my photograph count). Love in Family, Bren Sorensen
