Shreveport, LA.-Funeral services celebrating the life of Margaret Ware Ross, 72, will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 30, 2010 @ Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. John Harp. Interment will follow @ 2 pm in Wares Chapel Cemetery in Emerson, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on May 17, 1938 in Haynesville, LA to Raleigh and Nannie Mae Ware. She passed away on Sept. 26, 2010 in Shreveport LA where she resided, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was retired from Merrill Lynch after 40 years of service, a member of Brookwood Baptist Church and an active participant for The Race For The Cure. Margaret lived, as she believed, that all things are possible with God and a sense of humor.
Preceding Margaret in death were her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, Walter E. Ross, sons, Richard Ross & wife, Betty. Randal Ross and wife, Roxanne. Robert Ross and wife, Tricia. Daughter, Rhonda Potter and husband, Dan. Grandchildren, April Shockley & husband, Steve; Mark Ross and wife, Whitney; Lexi, Joshua & Haley Ross; Ashley and Megan Potter; 2 great-grandchildren, Creighton and Remington Ross. Siblings, Bobby, Paul, Prentice, Bill and Carroll Ware.
Pallbearers will be David & Mark Ross, Gary Ware, Steve Shockley, Roger, Eric and Glen Ware.
