She was born Oct. 22, 1890, in Prairie Grove to John and Ella Johnson Wolverton. She married George Bryant June 16, 1910, in Wapello. He died earlier.
She was the second-oldest member of the United Methodist church of Morning Sun. She was a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving: four sons, Max, Walter, Cecil and Kenneth, all of Morning Sun; four daughters, Mrs. Irene Carpenter and Mrs. Darlene Dean, both of Morning Sun, Mrs. Shirley Haight and Mrs. Maxine Hobbs, both of Mediapolis; one sister, Jessie Royer, St. Charles, Mo.; one brother, . Lem Wolverton, Harker Heights, Texas; 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday, United Methodist church, Morning Sun, the Rev. Fred Harris; Elmwood cemetery. A memorial has been established.
