Bryant was born at Morning Sun on Aug, 6, 1887, the son of William and Rachel Bryant , and began working as a substitute mail carrier when he was 18 years old. He became a regular carrier in 1919.
Bryant was married to Lulu Wolverton on June 16, 1919. She survives , as do 5 sons and 4 daughters.; Max, Cecil, Walter, Orval and Kenneth Bryant , Mrs . Floyd Dean and Mrs. Leland Hobbs, all of Morning Sun; Mrs. Shirley Haight , Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Arthur Carpenter, of Savnnah, Ga.
Also surviving are a brother and 2 sisters: Herbert Bryant and Mrs, May Bragg , both of Burlington, and Mrs. Minnie Seitz, of Letts.
The body is at the Pierce funeral home in Morning Sun.
