Israel is a son and first born child of ten children, born to Joseph Chase II and his first wife, Sabra Louise (Wheeler) Chase. Israel also has seven additional siblings from his father's second marriage to Alphia (Bartlett) Jackson-Chase. So he has a total of sixteen siblings. Israel married Caroline Colby in 1837 in Maine. They have one child we know of so far. Israel is recorded in a book, "Seven Generations of the descendants of Aquila and Thomas Chase", on page 436. We have also found his Maine Birth record through ancestry.com collecions. Isael and Caroline are 2nd Great Grandaunt and Granduncle to my husband.
