Violet Jemes Hart, 87, of Grovespring, died Friday, January 7, 2000 at Grovespring.
She is survived by five sons, Clifford Jemes of Lebanon; Clayton, Clinton, Eldon and Buel Jemes, all of Grovespring; three daughters, Loretta Jones of Falcon; Marie Klein of Stoutland and Caroyn Nelson of Grovespring; two brothers, Billy Layman of Goodhue, Minn. and Lloyd Layman of Lebanon; four sisters, Vera Peters of Oaceola; Fern O'Quinn of Lebanon; Mae Walker of Muncie, Ind. and Lucille Johnson of Wheatland; 31 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Violet Jemes Hart were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at the Mt. Zion Cuba Freewill Baptist Church with Bill Jones and Ed Owens officiating. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cuba Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel of Lebanon. A memorial was established for the Mount Zion Cemetery.
