Funeral services for Lora Hutcheson, Lebanon, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, 1972 at the Cuba Freewill Baptist Church, with Bro. Jeff Bennett officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, directed by Colonial Chapel.
Music was furnished by the church choir. Escorts were Howard Peterson, Dale Johnson, Clayton Jemes, Riley Layman, Nicky O'Quinn and Clinton Jemes. Honorary escorts were David Layman, Clyde and Dewayne Peterson, Clifford Buel and Eldon Jemes, Marvin Walker and Donald Johnson.
Lora Lenora Hutcheson, daughter of Grant and Ellen Jones McCall, was born July 19, 1890 in Laclede County, near Russ, and died March 14, 1972 at her home on South Highway 5, Lebanon.
Early in life she united with the Cuba Freewill Baptist Church, later transferring her membership to the White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In November of 1911 she was united in marriage with Will Walter Layman, to this union were born seven children, all surviving. Her husband preceded her in death in March of 1944.
January 26, 1946 she was united in marriage with W. P. Hutcheson, who survives.
Survivors include two sons; Loyd Layman, Oakland Star Route, Lebanon, Billy Layman, Goodhue, Minnesota; five daughters, Mrs. Violet Jemes, Grovesprings, Mrs. Lucille Johnson, Fleminton, Mrs. Vera Peterson, Osceola, Mrs. Fern O'Quinn, Kansas City, and Mrs. Mae Walker, Yorktown, Indiana; 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
