Ulysses Grant McCall, 71, prominent farmer in this county, died at 10 o'clock Saturday evening after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock, Sunday at the White Oak Pond church under the direction of the Rev. Hembree.
Those who attended as pallbearers were: Darius McCall, Waldo Davis, Ray Jones, Marvin Hawkins, Otto Calton and Guy Randolph.
Mr. McCall was born in Laclede County May 20, 1863, and has spent his entire life here. He is survived by his wife and four children who are Mrs. Amelia Conner of Hoxie, Kan.; Mrs. Lovie Laymon of Craig, Neb.; Oran McCall of Grovespring and William S. McCall, Circuit Clerk elect. There are also 2 sisters, Mrs. Susan Dickerson of Laclede County, and Mrs. Ida Beard of Garden, TX.
