Anna Mae Bell, 88, of Petersburg, died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born October 12, 1917 in Atterberry , IL. The daughter of Homer and Anna Grosboll Davidson. She married James F. Bell in St. Charles Missouri in 1938.
She is survived by five sons James Bell, Robert (Edith) Bell, Mike Bell, Nick (Susie) Bell, and David (Brenda) Bell, all of Petersburg. Two daughters Jo Anne (Ed) McDougall, and Vicki (Rick) Jarvis, both of Petersburg. One brother Dr. John A. (Shirley) Davidson of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, one brother, and one sister.
Mrs. Bell was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Free Church in Petersburg, and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, serving as president. She was a retired supervisor from the Menard County Assessors Office.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday October 2, 2006 at St. Pauls Evangelical Free Church in Petersburg, with Pastor Dan Roseberry conducting the service. Visitation will be held Sunday October 1, 2006 from 3-5 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the Menard County Rescue Squad.
