Dorcas Marie Macpherson, 66, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Petersburg on May 13, 1919, the daughter of Homer F. and Ann Grosboll Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Robert Davidson.
Before her retirement she was employed at Bressmer's and S.A. Barker for 37 years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband, John F.; one daughter, Sharon Thomas of Portland, Ore.; three sons, John F. MacPherson III of San Diego, Calif., Chris O. Macpherson of Hudson and Robert B. Macpherson of Springfield; seven grandchildren; one sister, Anna Mae Bell of Petersburg; and one brother, state Sen. John A. Davidson of Springfield.
