Alice M. Eilers, of Route 1 New Era, passed away Sunday, May 17, 1992 at Lakeshore Community Hospital in Shelby.

Mrs. Eilers was born Feb. 6, 1902, in Claybanks Township of Oceana County, the daughter of Peter and Mary Ann Rager Schiller. She was married to Joseph B. Eilers Oct. 27, 1928, in Montague. Mr. Eilers passed away Dec. 20, 1958.

Mrs. Eilers was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shelby and was a former member of the Farm Bureau, the Oceana Extension Club, and St. John's Altar Society.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph G. "Mike" (and wife Anna) Eilers and Raymond Eilers, all of New Era; two daughters, Bernadine Scott of Shelby and Mrs. John (Mary Alice) Falk of Port Huron; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Vincent Schiller of New Era; and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Florence) Rolph of New Era, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Sibary-Chaney of North Muskegon, and Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Wood of Muskegon.

Mrs. Eilers was preceded in death by three sons, Peter, Andrew, and Stephen Eilers, and five brothers, Edmund, Sam, Francis, Daniel, and Raymond Schiller.

Funeral mass for Mrs. Eilers was at 11 AM Wed, May 20, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Shelby, with Rev. Norbert Leyrita celebrant and Rev. Thomas Schiller concelebrant. Interment will be in St. John's cemetery in Claybanks Township. Arrangements were by the Cooper-Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.
