Farewell To Her Last Rest

Funeral Services for Mrs. Victoria D. de Carson, Daughter of Don Manuel Dominguez, Draws Many to St. Vibiana's Cathedral

Marked by the Catholic church's most solemn ceremonies for the dead, funeral services over the body of Mrs. Victoria D. de Carson, daughter of Don Manuel Dominguez, were held at St. Vibiana's Cathedral at 10 o'clock yesterday morning Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, beside the remains of her father, mother and husband. The latter was George Carson, a pioneer merchant.
More than 500 relatives and friends gathered in the cathedral for the services, while the floral offerings filled a number of trucks. The eulogy was delivered by Mgr. Harnett, administrator of the dioceses of Monterey and Los Angeles. He was assisted by Father Conaty and Eling, while a choir of priests sang the service.
Mrs. De Carson died at the old Carson home on the San Pedro Rancho, at Dominguez Junction, early Monday morning.
Following were the active pallbearers: John T. Cooper, John M. Larronde, Woodruff Davidson, Donald O'Melveny, Herman Hauser and John G. Mott
