Death of Miss Anna Carson
Miss Anna Carson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Carson of the Dominguez rancho, and a member of one of the best-known families in this part of the State, died yesterday morning at the home of her uncle, John F. Francis, near Sixth and Main streets, in this city. The cause of her death was cerebral meningitis. She became ill about a month ago, and at first her condition was not regarded as serious. Later, when the seriousness of her illness became apparent, all that medical science could do to relieve her was done, but without avail. For several days it had been realized by her family and friends that she would not recover, but her death was none the less a severe blow to them. The deceased was 38 years of age, and was well known all over this and other counties in this part of the State. She leaves, besides her parents, six brothers and five sisters. One of her brothers is City Auditor E. A. Carson. The funeral will be held Monday morning from the Cathedral, and the interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
