Ginevra Aida Erminia, known as Geneva, was born on Sept. 23, 1901 in Castilenti, Italy and was the first of ten children having sisters Viola, Elma, Emily, Nora and Josephine and brothers Sonny, John, Herman and Elmer who died as a baby.
She immigrated to America in 1903 as a baby with her mother and became a a naturalized citizen in 1914 while living in Scranton, PA with her family. She moved to Cleveland about 1916 when she was about 15.
Geneva was 22 when she married Arthur Scardilletti, he was 32, on Aug. 9 1924 at Holy Redeemer Church. Their only son Anthony Robert was born in 1925.
She and Art had been married 49 years and were living at 976 Rondel Rd. when she passed away at home on Aug. 17, 1973 from heart failure due to arteriosclerosis at 72.
Art continued living on Rondel Rd. until he passed away 15 years later on Oct. 20, 1988 in Euclid General Hospital at age 96. Both are buried at Lake View Cemetery in Sec. 43, lot 396F. She had six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren when she died.
