Elma was born Feb. 20, 1910 in Altoona, PA, the 4th of 10 children and moved to Cleveland about 1916 with her family where she grew up. She had sisters Geneva, Viola, Emily (Mayme), Nora & Josephine (Tootie) and brothers Sonny, John, Herman and Elmer who died as a baby.
She was 20 when she married Ralph Germond Raffo, he was 22, on Aug. 30, 1930 in Cleveland and had three daughters, listed above.
Elma & Ralph were living at 916 Rondel Rd. in Collinwood and were married 41 years when Ralph passed away on Oct. 1, 1971 at age 63. She was 63 years old when she died on May 9, 1973 at Euclid General Hospital from bilateral broncho-pnuemonia due to congestive heart failure
Both are buried at Lake View Cemetery in Sec. 43, Lot 692-A. Also buried with them is their daughter Faith who was only 8 years old when she died in May 1952.

ELMA G RAFFO (nee Calandra), a widow, was living at 916 Rondel Rd., Cleveland, passed away at 2:15 a.m. at Euclid General Hosptial on May 9, 1973 from congestive heart failure at age 63. Also had arteriosclerotic heart disease for 10 years. Interment at Lake View Cemetery on May 12th.
Informant was daughter Gerri Austin, living at 143 E. 201st in Euclid. Listed Elma's DOB as Feb. 20, 1910, born in Penna. Parents were Auriellio Calandra & Rosa Schiantelli.
