Lula's full siblings were Sharlotte Victoria Camp (Brown), Georgia Ann Camp (Groover), Mitchell Henry "M H" Camp, Versey Rachel Camp, Artie May "Pigeon" Camp (Fetner), Daniel A Camp, and Roxie Ann Camp (Taylor). Lula's half siblings were Mary Araminda "Minda" Camp (Wadkins), Martha L Camp (Waldrep), William Anderson Camp, Permelia H Camp (Dollar), Jaraldeen C. Camp, Mathilda Lythonia "Lithie" Camp (Lindley), Sophia D. "Sophie" Camp (Hill), Nancy J. Camp (Hill), and Arkansas Adelaide L. "Addie" Camp (Wadkins).
Lula Viola Camp married James William "Will" Karr. Will and Lula had sixteen children. Three of the children died in infancy - Mary Luda, Lula Anna and Susie Etna. Their living children were John D. Karr, Claudia Elizabeth Karr (Pierce), William Lonnie Karr, Escar Lelia Karr (Lewis), Callie Beulah Karr (Rye), Andrew Washington Karr, Calvin Penn Karr, Ophelia Mae Karr (Henson), Ova Lee Karr (Cooper), Elton Howard Karr, Swoncie Elmer Karr, Dimuel Hollis Karr and Gladious Opal Karr.

At one point, Will contracted malaria. The Sipsey Bottom was rife with malaria carrying mosquitos. Will almost died. He vowed if he recovered, he'd move his family out of the bottom. Will did survive and moved his family to the highlands a few miles from Sipsey Bottom on what is now known as Karr Road. Later on, Will Karr moved his family to "the big road" or Highway 19. The family always referred to their home place as the house on "the big road." Will opened a small general store that included a grist mill and a gas pump. The store was very successful.
Lula Viola Camp Karr died on January 4th, 1953 in Marion County Alabama at the age of 83.
