REV. WILLIAM LONNIE KARR, age, 76 of Rt. 1, Detroit, Ala. passed away Wednesday November 25th in the Lister Hill Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday November 26th at 2 p.m. at Mt. Joy Baptist Church, with burial in the Rudicell Cemetery. Bro. Gerley Roberts officiated. He was lifetime resident of Marion County and had been a Baptist Minister for 17 years. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Hattie Karr of Detroit, Ala., 2 daughters - Mrs. Maudine Thompson of Tuscumbia, Ala., Mrs. Geleeta Harbor of Kenosha, Wisconsin; two sons - W.L. Karr, Jr. of Detroit, Ala., Billy Joe Karr of Florence, Ala; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. John (Callie) Rye, Mrs. R.H. (Ophelia) Henson both of Detroit, Ala., Mrs. Mack (Ova) Cooper of Vernon, Ala; five brothers, Calvin P. Karr, of Sheffield, Ala., Andrew W. Karr, Elton Howard Karr and Gladious O. Karr all of Hamilton, Ala. and Dimuel H. Karr of Detroit, Ala.
