G.O."GLATE" KARR, 73, Rt. 4, Hamilton, died at his residence on Wednesday, June 29, 1988. A native of Marion County, born on October 27, 1914, the son of James William and Lula V. (Camp) Karr. He was a retired teacher.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 1, 1988, at 2 p.m. from the Barnesville Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Woodrow Matthews was the officiating minister. The Hamilton Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Survivors include his wife - Bonnie Ridings Karr, Hamilton; a son - Dwayne Karr, Hartselle; two grandsons - Keith Karr, Trinity and Chris Karr, Hartselle; two great-grandchildren - Jerrod and Shannon Karr; sister - Ova Cooper, Sulligent; two brothers - Calvin P. Karr, Sheffield and Elton Karr, Detroit; and a host of nieces and nephews.
