Luther Earl Baker, 71, of 719 Shiloh Road, died Tuesday, April 2, 1985, at the Harrison County Hospital.

He was a native of Orange County and a retired salesman for Bill's Auto Parts.

Survivors included his wife, the former Evelyn Levell; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Schmidt of Sun Prairie, WI, and Mrs. Jewel Linton of Corydon; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Jackson and Mrs. Lillian Brough, both of Orleans, and Mrs. Mildred Toth of OH; three brothers, Glenn and Louie Baker, both of Paoli, and Alva Baker of Anderson; two half-sisters, Mrs. Maxine Kellems of Paoli and Mrs. Margaret Agan of Cedar Lake; a half-brother, Clifford Baker of Hardinsburg; and six grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 5, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Margengo, with burial in Mathers Chapel Cemetery near English, IN.
