Juanita E. Tetley, 95, of Pana, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in Heritage Manor—Pana. She was born October 13, 1912 in Cold Springs Township near Tower Hill, the daughter of James Wesley & Elizabeth Della Milligan Bland. Juanita had lived her entire life in the Pana area and made her life as a homemaker. She loved flowers, gardening, crocheting, and most of all her family. Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pana; Home & Garden Club; and an election judge. She was also a member of the Red Cross during WWII, and when her children were young, she was active in the PTA.
Juanita married Ray S. Tetley on August 11, 1928 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1983.
Juanita is survived by her daughter: Helen Dionne, Pana, IL; 9 grandchildren: William Dionne; David Dionne & wife Christina; Michael Dionne; Steven Dionne & wife Janet; Linda Crawford & husband Robert; Brenda Washburn & husband Lloyd, all of Pana; Gary Tetley, Decatur, IL; Vicki Boyer & husband Dave, Enid, OK; & Brian Tetley & wife Alvetta, Ben Salem, PA; 14 great grandchildren; & 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Everett William "Bill" Tetley; 3 brothers; & 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 10, 2007 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor John Hippard officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
