Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Bland, 70, who died April April 6th were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8th, in Stumpf's Funeral Home. The Rev. Wm. C. Russell officiated, assisted by the Rev. Albert Rust. Organist was Mrs. Gladys Zahradka, the vocalist, Mrs. Russell. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Eva Culberson, Mrs. Ona Stretch, Mrs.Dora Burns, Mrs. Mildred Evenson, Mrs. Eilene Walker, Mrs. Irene Etheridge, Mrs. Claude Snodderly and Mrs. Ethel Wirey. Pallbearers were Kenneth Etheridge, John Brunner, Harvey Bland, Emmerson Eiler, Charles Maiden and Wilbur Denton. Interment was in Linwood Cemetery. Mrs. Bland died at 1:25 p.m. friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stevana Terry, 1009 East Second Street. She had been ill 4 months. She was born Dec 7, 1881 in Shelby County, the daughter of William Henry and Mariah Jane McConnell Milligan. Her husband, James W. Bland preceded her in death. In addition to Mrs. Stevanna Terry, she is survived by three other children. William Austin Bland, Juanita Ethel Tetley, and Naomi Virginia Reed all of Pana, and a brother, Elmer Milligan, Decatur. She was preceded in death by three children: Lois Hazel, James Clifford and Raymond Roscoe Bland.
