Mr. William Morselaff Mays, widower of Mrs. Loretta Perkins Mays, 3956 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Friday, August 1, 1986, in University Hospital, Augusta. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Don Johnson and E.L. Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Mays was a lifelong resident of Richmond County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was an EKG and electroencephalogram technician with Veterans Administration Medical Center. Survivors include a son, Joseph Curtis Mays, Augusta; four daughters, Cheryl Gunby, Thomson, Janet Gross, Beech Island, S.C., Debra Albert, North Augusta, and Shannon Greene, Hephzibah; a brother, the Rev. Clarence J. Mays, Augusta; and six sisters, Betty Rearden and Pauline Wilson, Augusta, Essie Duncan, Savannah, Edna Altine, Charleston, Mary Heath, North Augusta, and Irene Allen, Belvedere, S.C. Pallbearers will be Francis Bufford, Ricky Mays, Lee Howard, Roy Luke, Otis Luke and Buck Luke. Elliott Sons.
