Mrs. Evelyn Mays Peirano, 1425 Walton Way, widow of Mr. Joseph M. Peirano, entered into rest, Sunday, May 11, 1986 at University Hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 1986 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street, with the Rev. Larry Langston officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Peirano was of native of Richmond County and lived most of her life in Augusta. She was a Baptist and retired restaurant owner. Survivors include a son, Joseph E. Peirano, Wingate, N.C.; two brothers William M. Mays and the Rev. C.J. Mays, Augusta and six sisters, Betty Rearden and Pauline Wilson, Augusta, Essie Duncan, Savannah, Edna Altine, Charleston, S.C. and Mary Heath and Irene Allen, North Augusta; two grandchildren, Christopher A. and Melissa Anne Peirano, both of Wingate, N.C. Pallbearers will be; Larry Wilson, William H. Wilson, Bill Albert Gross, Joe Mays, Jerry B. Wilson, H.B. Altine and Bill Mock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Elliott Sons, Telfair Street.
