Noah Yount, 76, lifelong and well-known resident of Tipp City, died Saturday morning at 4 o'clock at his home, 114 West Main Street. Mr. Yount had been in failing health the past two years, and had been seriously ill for the past three weeks.

He was born in Tippecanoe on North Third Street on New Year's Day in 1876, the son of Harrison and Adelaide Yount. For many years, he was employed at the Troy Sunshade Company. He had been retired for 12 years.

Mr. Yount was a member of the Tipp City Methodist Church, and a faithful member of the Men's Bible class and the I.O.O.F. lodge. He had attended Sunday school for 37-1/2 years without missing one Sunday. The past five weeks he had been unable to attend his class due to his health.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bertha Yount; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Shaffer of Tipp City; Mrs. Grace Westfall of West Milton; three brothers, Frank Yount of Troy, Ed Yount of Piqua, and Ralph Yount of San Francisco, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. The two brothers, Ed and Ralph, were unable to attend the last rites for their brother.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the family residence, with the Rev. Lloyd C. Zoller officiating. Pall bearers were Maurice Kreider, H. R. Shafer, Carl Grafton, Herman Genslinger, Arthur Wells, and Joe Long.

Burial was made in Maple Hill Cemetery.
