Mrs. Kirby is Called Home
Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy L. Kirby, 66, will be held today at 4:30 P. M. at Johnson Chapel. Rev. Billy Aldridge will conduct the rites. Interment will be made in adjoining cemetery, Brown directing.
Mrs. Kirby died at her home, 1414 Fourth Avenue South, Friday at 1:25 P. M. after a long, illness. The body was prepared for burial and taken to the home Saturday afternoon, to remain there until service time.
Surviving are the husband, A. M. Kirby, Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. George Yancy, Tanner 1; Mrs. Erby Eddy, Danville 3; and Mrs. Hubert Crow, Decatur 3; three sons, Freeman, Elmer and Tarnce, all of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Wiley, Danville 2; four brothers, Lawrence Lowery, Danville 2; Ewell Lowery, Decatur; Ed Lowery, Moulton 1; and Herbert Lowery, Decatur 3; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
A native of Lawrence county, Mrs Kirby spent most of her life in Decatur.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
