Mack Lawrence Lowery was born Saturday, November 27, 1880 in Lawrence County, Alabama, to Samuel H. Lowery and Mary Frances McCulloch Lowery.

He married Dessie Lee Aldridge, a daughter of James Franklin "Frank" Aldridge and Amanda C. "Mandy" Tillman Aldridge on Thursday, February 4, 1904 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

The children of Lawrence and Dessie Lowery are James Wiley "Jim" Lowery, Francis Lowery, Myrtie Leuell Stover, Mrs. Geneva Mae Elrod, Hazel Laverne Key, Samuel Henry Lowery and Harold Edward Lowery.

Funeral services for Lawrence Lowery, 87, Danville 2, who died today at a Hartselle hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Valley Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Garland Hancock and Rev. Junior Hill officiating.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Peck directing.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ada Lowery, Danville 2; three daughters, Mrs. Geneva Elrod, Athens 5, Mrs. G. I. Stover and Mrs. Loyd Key, both of Danville 2; three sons, Jim Lowery and Henry Lowery, both of Danville 2; Frank Lowery, Mogadore, Ohio, two step-daughters, Mrs. Jewel Linderman, and Mrs. Arvergie Poole, both of Danville 3; one step-son, Pascal Lowery, Ruleville, Miss.; a brother, Ewell Lowery, Decatur; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lowery was a member of the Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The body will be returned to the residence this afternoon where it will remain until taken to the church for services.
