Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Christena Stout of Sac City were held Friday, March 10, 1972, at the First Christian Church in Sac City, with Rev. Fred J. Marsh officiating. Farber and Otteman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stout died at the University Hospital in Iowa City March 6 from complications following brain surgery, she was 68. Frank Pontious provided music for the service accompanied by Mrs. John Irvin. Floral tributes were cared for by Mrs. Robert Everson, Mrs. Walter Wellendorf and Marjo Florist. Attendants were Darwin Carlton, Louis N. Peyton, Floyd Schnirring, Keith Hines, Donavon Rehm, and Richard Brown. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Sac City.
Mrs. Stout was a lifetime resident of the Sac Community and had been deeply involved in the life and work of her city. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge, WRC and the Royal Neighbors. She had worked with her husband, Preston C. Stout, in business and was employed for a number of years at the Coast to Coast Store in Sac City.
Mrs. Stout was born in Sac County, March 15, 1903, to Henry and Bertha Hahn Klindt. She was married to Preston C. Stout at Rockwell City January 16, 1924, and they had three children, Elnora, Mrs. George Streed of Odebolt; Preston H. and Harlan of Sac City. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-child; five sisters; Mrs. Ed Wunschel, Mrs. Sam Rodman, Mrs. Bill Albrecht, Mrs. Henry Swift, and Mrs. George Schulte, and an aunt, Mrs. Margaret Hanson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Herman, Jack and Bill Klindt; three sisters, Katie, Mrs. Tom Brower, Dora, Mrs. Bill Miller and Minnie Klindt; and one grandchild, Jean Stout.
