She was born in Cashmere and grew up in Dryden. She later moved to Odessa before returning to Dryden. She helped run an orchard with her husband there and was a homemaker. In 1959, she moved back to Odessa and finally settled in Walla Walla in 1973.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley VanBuren of Kahlotus; a sister, Emma Goehner of Tacoma; and two brothers, Harold Krause of Wenatchee and Harvey Krause of Waterville.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla. Viewing will be 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla.
