Arthur Krause, 70, Wenatchee, a former Dry den and Chelan resident, died Tuesday in Central Washington Hospital. He was born March 2, 1910, at Marlin, and moved with his parents to Dryden in 1917. He attended school there and married Gaile Day on Dec. 25, 1935, at Dryden. Mr. Krause ranched at Dryden before moving to the Chelan area in 1947 where he worked until 1971 when he retired and moved to Wenatchee. He was a 30-year member of the Chelan Eagles No. 2218, and was confirmed at the Dryden Congregational Church. Survivors include his wife, Gaile, at home; a son, John, Wenatchee; two daughters, Lilly Krause, Wenatchee, and Betty Krause, Seattle; two brothers, Harold Krause, Orondo. and Harvey Krause, Wenatchee; four sisters, Lydia Webster of Centralia, Katie Ramm of Walla Walla, Esther Krause of Wenatchee, and Emma Goehner of Peshastin. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Eagles Fraternal services were held Friday morning at the Braun Funeral Chapel with Chelan F.O.E. 2218 officiating. Rev. John Rogers brought the message with Beth Cronwell acting as organist. Burial took place in the Cashmere Cemetery with The following pallbearers, Earl Bryant, Lewis Woods, Fred Hayter, Bud Gores, Rov Hughes and Wilbert Kreider.
