Mrs. Tima Elizabeth Givans, who would have celebrated her 68th birthday on Monday July 17th, died suddenly Saturday July 15, 1961 at 5 p.m. at her home in Brandenburg, Route 2.

She was born in Meade County July 17, 1895 a daughter of Joseph S. Jones and Susan Josephine Jupin.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Shelly Givans on September 23, 1913. One child preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Shellie Givans; and nine children, Mrs. Hayward (Willo B.) Wardrip, Mrs. Alex (Josephine) Givans, Mrs George (Juanita) Shoulders, Mrs. Alex (Wanda) Halbert, Daymon Givans, Vernon G. Givans, and Shellie Givans, Jr., all of Brandenburg, Ky., Mrs. William(Imogene) Miller of Mecedonia, Ohio and Mrs. Perry (Viola) James of Lawton, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Wright of Shively, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held July 18th at 2 p.m. from Bethel Methodist Church, of which she was a member, conducted by Rev. Mitchell Capps, assisted by Rev. R. E. Bolton. Burial was in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Wright Funeral Home. Pallbearers were, Hayward Wardrip, Jerry James, Bill Miller, George Shoulders, Alex Halbert and Alex Givans.
