Jack served as a Second Lieutenant & Pilot on B-29 #42-94201, 60th Bomber Squadron, 39th Bomber Group, Very Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin prior to the war.

B-29 #42-94201 took off from Kwajalein to North Field, Guam on a routine non-combat flight. They crashed off the coast of Guam for an unknown reason and were seen to explode. There were no survivors.

Jack was declared "Missing In Action" in the "Line Of Duty" in this crash during the war.

Jack also has a "Cenotaph" in the Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
