OBITUARY
Died at her home in Edina, Mo., August 10th, 1886, sister Ester Blood, aged 59 years. She was born in Dublin, Ireland. Had lived in Edina 30 years. She joined the Christian Church 32 years ago, and died as she had lived, in the faith of Christ. How happy must she be in her new life with her Savior and God. Methinks Heaven is honored when such pilgrims as she enter upon the joys of her eternal home. Sister Blood's maiden name was O'Donnell She was married to James C. Blood 39 years ago.
It was painfully pleasant for us to meet and sympathize with the husband and children, whose wife and mother had been called to a higher and broader field of labor, and into associations unalloyed, free from every taint or sin and pain.
She leaves to mourn for her one son, four daughters, a husband and other relatives and friends. A weeping audience at her funeral was a feeble expression of the strong hold sister Blood had upon the people of Edina.
She now rests from her labors and her works are following her. God bless the bereaved ones whose hearts are bleeding at every pore. Often will they listen for that voice which cheered and thrilled every fibre of their souls, and often checked any wrong impulse of nature. But they will see her no more here, but God has said they can go to her.
God help them to prepare to meet her in Heaven. — H. A NORTHCUTT.
