Staff Sergeant Miller served with the 395th
Bomb Group, 590th Bomb Squadron from the
Ephrata Army Air Base.

He was one of nine airmen killed when
B-17F Flying Fortress #42-29500 struck a
mountaintop, 16 miles east of Ellensburg,
Washington.

Son of Amelia Miller.

The crew killed were:

2nd Lt. Derek Bovingdon , pilot
2nd Lt. Eryle W Boettcher
2nd Lt. Andrew L Bowman
2nd Lt. Ennis D Hake
S/Sgt. Max E Miller
S/Sgt. William Miller
S/Sgt. Ralph C Wagner
Sgt. Ray W Stitzel
