Mrs. Marcia Brown Barr, 42, of 805 S. Main St., died at 5 p.m. yesterday in the Butler County Memorial Hospital, after a lingering illness. Born in Fairview Township, Butler County, Mrs. Barr was a daughter of Andoniram Judson and Ardella Long Brown, and a lifelong resident of the vicinity. Surviving are her husband, Jennings B. Barr; two sons, Jennings B. Barr II with the U.S. Marines at Cherry Point N.C., and Carl Thomas Barr at home; three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Ray and Mrs. James Dietrich of Butler and Mrs. E. O. Hiltman of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, William Ross Brown of Warren, Pa. Mrs. Barr was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. BARR-Friends of Mrs. Marcia Brown Barr of 805 S. Main St., who died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1954, will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, E. North at McKean St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home, with Vicar Ray Wolf of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
