Cantwell, Florence (Lacke) MIDDLETON Florence Cantwell, age 90, of Middleton and the Waunakee Manor passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, after a brief illness. She was born on Dec. 2, 1916, to Dietrich and Josephine Lacke in Shullsburg. Florence attended Groves-Barnhart College and worked as a secretary at the Cantwell Printing Co., where she met William Cantwell, the love of her life and married him in 1938. Florence also operated Community Qwik Copy in Middleton from 1978 to 1989. She was honored as senior business woman in 1988. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard's Parish in Middleton. Florence is survived by six sons, Michael (Jeanette) of Madison, Jeffrey of Titusville, Fla., Steve (Kerry) and Patrick (Jeanne) of Middleton, Thomas of Kissimmee, Fla. and Edward (Daylene) of Merrimac; a daughter, Beverly (Tom) Hayman of Waunakee; 16 grandchildren, Dawn, Tim, and Steve Jordee, Joni Varese, Susie Kohl, Kathy Smith, Brent, Courtney, Brian, Kimberly, Stephen, Michael, Kevin, Elizabeth, Chip and Andrew Cantwell and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; four sisters; her husband, William; a daughter, Connie Jordee; sons, Roger and Daniel (Banjo) and a granddaughter, Patricia Cantwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug.15, 2007, at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton. Friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The family wants to thank the staff at theWaun-a-Bowl...she looked so forward to her visits!
