***Jan 10, 2022 - with the rollout of Find A Grave's question on each memorial asking if you are a close family member, please note that I will ALWAYS be answering "no" to this question. Even if I am closely related, I feel this is a privacy issue and will not be answering it. However, I will always abide by their current transfer guidelines if I am not a closer relative.***

FRIENDS - as you may have seen, I am now the manager for A LOT of Forest Hill Cemetery memorials in Madison, WI. Please be patient with me as there is ALOT of clean up to be done with duplicates, missing info that is available on the cemetery website, etc, etc. Another contributor and I are working to get this cleanup completed. A lot of you are submitting additions/corrections and I greatly appreciate the information/help! Keep them coming!! But please, if your edit/suggestion is just to add plot info or any of the other information that is shown in the "graveside details" section of the memorial, consider not sending it. I am systematically working on adding that info; but with just under 28,000 memorials, it's going to take some time. Please be patient, it will get done.

May I also ask another favor please? If you have an obituary that you would like added to a memorial, PLEASE, PLEASE, transcribe it (and include the newspaper name, location, date (and optionally page #). PLEASE DO NOT post it as a photo to the memorial!!! If you don't wish to transcribe it, contact me for my email address to send it to and I will do it instead.

Forest Hill cemetery update:
1. Photos: Thanks to the other contributor who is helping with this cemetery, the grave photos are pretty much done with just a few exceptions. When a photo was not found when "mowing the rows", it is noted on the memorial in the bio section (of my managed memorials). If you come across one of my managed memorials with no photo and no statement in the bio about it, please send me a note with the name and memorial # so it can be looked for.

2. Plotting: I still have over 19k memorials to review yet to add this info, if missing. It takes some time but goes pretty quickly. When I have a few hours to devote to doing this, I can usually get about 100-200 reviewed. It just depends upon any mysteries that I may stumble upon while working them.

My managed memorials of these sections have had their plotting info completed:

1. Section 4
2. Section 5
3. Section 6
4. Section 7
5. Section 8
6. Section 9
7. Section 34 (in progress)
8. Section 35
0. Section 36
10. Section 37
11. Section 38
12. Section 39
13. Section 40
14. Section 41
15. Section 42
16. Section 43
17. Section 44
18. Section 50

3. What's next? After I have completed #2 above, it will be time to re-run the report and look for any missing plotting info and then start adding obits and looking at other sources of info to complete the main portion of the memorial and to start linking family members together.

Thank you so much for your help with these requests, I appreciate it!
